1956年に起きたソビエト軍の撤退を要求する市民蜂起を記念するレセプションが、10月22日に駐ハンガリー大使館で開催されました。蜂起はソ連軍に鎮圧され、当時革命は失敗とされました。しかしながら、後に今日の自由な発展したハンガリーとなることに大きく貢献したことは明らかです。
レセプションは、コロナウイルス感染拡大予防ガイドラインに従い、参加者の数を減らし、3組に分け、合計120名で開催されました。 参加者は、パラノビチ・ノルバート大使によるスピーチで歓迎され、大使館料理人が調理した様々なハンガリー料理を楽しみました。

A reception commemorating the 1956 Hungarian Revolution was held at the Embassy of Hungary in Tokyo on October 22. Although the Revolution failed in the short run, it is clear that it contributed greatly to the free Hungary that has evolved into today.
The reception was held in three parts with a reduced number of guests, in accordance with the coronavirus prevention guidelines. The guests were welcomed with a speech by Ambassador Norbert Palanovics, and they could subsequently savour various Hungarian dishes prepared by the chef of the Embassy.
